June 2022

Welcome to the XIII newsletter, we thought it appropriate to answer the most frequently asked questions about XIII. We want you to be a part of what we’re doing and be excited about sharing news about XIII to your colleagues, friends and family.

Why is the brand named 13?
Our journey started at 13.00 on the 13th September. For many people the number thirteen is unlucky, we did not agree and even decided to name our clothing brand 13 with Roman numerals “XIII”. We agreed to focus on three simple things: our people, our products, and our customers. Now 9 months later our online brand is born, please spread the word that xiii.dk is now live.

There is no data to confirm that the number 13 is an unlucky number, in fact, 13 was traditionally considered a lucky number in France prior to the First World War and was used in numerical form as a good luck symbol on postcards and charms.

Who are we?
The team behind XIII are a fashion designer, garment technologist, logistics expert and sales/marketing professional. We have been described as a group of urban professionals who share a passion for clothing. We have created a range of garments that are functional and chic, and at the same time suitable for every occasion. It’s really important for us that our clothes will not burden our ecological and social system.

Where are our clothes produced?
We only work with certified European manufacturers, and we have visited all our production facilities, so we can guarantee the highest standards of labour conditions and environmental safety.

Feel free to pass by our atelier in Copenhagen where you will see the collection. We are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays between 14.00 and 17.00. If you these times are not suitable, send us an e-mail (mail@xiii.dk) stating your preferred date/time and we will confirm your booking as soon as possible. We would love to hear from you.

Best regards
Team XIII
